She escaped and fled to Gotham City. She later joined the Batman team. In the meantime, she learned how to fight. But despite her skills, she became suicidal.

Leslie Grace has made a name for herself playing Barbara Gordon / Batgirl in the comics. She has been praised for her role in the hit movie In the Heights.
The actress has recently been cast in a DC Comics movie. She will be playing Batgirl, and the upcoming HBO Max movie will be directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah. It is scheduled for late 2022 release.

Warner Bros. plans for future DC films
DC Comics movies were announced back in 2014. DC’s cinematic universe is largely an ongoing series, with new heroes and villains introduced every few years. The next ten years could see a wave of new characters and films.
DC’s current plan is a 10-year program, similar to Marvel’s. Initially, the series was going to include a Justice League movie, but that project was whittled down to a single film.
In this new plan, the first film is a “Black Hawk” film, which will take place during World War II. Steven Spielberg is on board to direct, and possibly produce it.
This film would be the first in a series of movies starring Blackhawk, an enigmatic leader of an international squad of heroic pilots. There are rumors that Jason Momoa may play the part of Arthur Curry.
