The Walking Dead is an excellent comic book, with many great features. There are the zombies, of course, and there are the characters. In the series, Rick tries to keep his family safe while the zombies begin to destroy everything. This is a very unique story, and it’s easy to see why it’s becoming one of the most popular comic books of all time.
Rick emerges from prison with a bullet wound in his abdomen
After a brief flashback, The Governor surprises Hershel and Michonne by coming to their prison. He takes the hostages and tries to force Rick to take command.
As Rick and the others are left in the prison, a firefight breaks out. Rick and Beth take part in the melee. Tyreese takes Judith. They are forced to leave different groups. But what will happen to Judith?
The Governor tells the prisoners they have to get out of the prison before sundown. Rick says he will stay, but the Governor is determined to get rid of him.
Rick tells of killing Dexter and Martinez to protect his wife and son
This month’s episode of NBC’s hit show Dexter is a hoot. The murder of Matt Caldwell has the police department on high alert, but the real mystery is who is behind the crime. Using a hunch and a bit of sleuthing, Dexter and his partner in crime, Angela Batista, have put together a sting that could net the dude a life in prison. A suspect named Jim Lindsay may be the key to the puzzle, but he’s not the only one. Having said that, the real test will be whether or not he’s able to elude the fates.
Rick gets shot in the head
The Walking Dead comic book series is set in a post-apocalyptic world. It has an ensemble cast, and the storyline varies with each issue.
Rick is the protagonist of the comic series. He is a law enforcement officer who finds himself in a desperate position. Not only does he have to fight off a horde of zombies, but he also has to keep his family safe. As he trains others to fight off walkers, his morals start to falter.
In the mid-season premiere, Rick and Michonne make a plan to escape Alexandria. However, the plan goes awry. Instead of taking the road to safety, the group ends up in an overrun prison.
Rick recounts how he killed Shane
AMC’s The Walking Dead returns with a special issue focusing on the survivors 25 years later. It’s a reminder of the good times the group has had.
Rick is reunited with his family, including his son Carl. Sasha is also back in action. Maggie isn’t a psychopath like Shane. Her resolution is to make things right with Jesus and Daryl. But, not everything is going well in the Saviors’ world.
Survivors’ stories are slowly revealed in the comic. For instance, Rick is the father of Carl, which isn’t something we usually see on TV.
A Party of Alexandrian survivors drive in and shoot most of the surrounding zombies
The Midseason finale of The Walking Dead, aptly titled The Final Season, is set to feature a lot of the aforementioned walkers in and around Alexandria. In the past week, we’ve seen Rick’s gang backed up against a wall and some of the city’s finest slaying some of the dead. While this is no fun for the residents of the gated community, Rick does have his fair share of supporters in the form of former naysayers.
Luckily for the Alexandrians, a tanker attack saves the day. When a group of Saviors (or zombies) shows up, they place some thick steel wire between the cars on the freeway to create an explosive booby trap. After carefully dismantling the contraption, they find multiple bundles of dynamite.
Judith as a time-jumped Carl
If you’re a fan of the comic books of The Walking Dead, you’re probably familiar with Judith Grimes. She’s the eldest daughter of Rick and Michonne and is the only one of her family not to be killed off. But is she safe? And will she inherit Carl’s role in the comics?
While it’s impossible to know for sure, it’s safe to assume Judith is still alive. Her mother sacrificed her life for her baby.
In fact, Rick’s last episode of the show gave us the first look at her, revealing that she’s 10 years old, which means she’ll be the same age as Carl in season 1. Although the character wasn’t born yet, she was conceived before the presumed death of Rick and Michonne.
Rick’s spin-off
Rick Grimes is the star of a Walking Dead spin-off. He and Michonne will be reunited in an epic love story that will be the first of a series. This is a long-awaited reunion for fans.
Andrew Lincoln, who played Rick Grimes on the series, will reprise his role in the spin-off. Danai Gurira will play Michonne. She also will serve as a writer and executive producer on the series.
The Walking Dead: Rick & Michonne is set to air in late 2023. It will take place in a new setting. Rick and Michonne will be thrown into another world, where a war against the dead has engulfed it. They will have to find their way back to each other.
